Efecto das medidas de protección da lactación materna sobre as súas taxas ao alta nunha unidade de neonatoloxía de terceiro nivel

Resumo

Obxectivos. Coñecer o efecto das medidas de protección da Lactación Materna (LM) sobre a súa taxa ao alta e o perfil relacionado.
Métodos. Estudo observacional e retrospectivo. Mostra de 171 neonatos.
Resultados. A incidencia de LM exclusiva (LME) foi do 63,8% (54,4% administración directa ou ao peito e o 9,4% administración diferida mediante xiringa ou biberón). O 10,5% ofreceu leite de fórmula e o 25,7% lactación mixta (LM non exclusiva – LMNE). Houbo maior incidencia nos neonatos procedentes do domicilio fronte aos ingresados desde partos (25,8% vs 9,7%, p = 0,012) e nos maiores de 32 semanas fronte aos menores (71% vs. 29%, p = 0,044).
Conclusións. A taxa de LM exclusiva ao alta superou o 50%, sen embargo, esta cifra parécenos insuficiente. Dotar ás Unidades de persoal cualificado nesta materia melloraría a taxa de LME e, en consecuencia, a saúde do binomio nai-neonato.
