El uso de psicofármacos por estudiantes universitários en el ámbito de la salud: una revisión narrativa

Introducción: El uso racional de psicofármacos en las universidades es un tema de creciente relevancia, especialmente considerando el contexto de presión académica y los desafíos de salud mental que enfrentan los estudiantes.
Objetivo: Analizar el uso de psicofármacos por los estudiantes universitarios en el ámbito de la salud.
Metodología: Revisión bibliográfica narrativa, siguiendo el protocolo PRISMA.
Resultados: a partir de la revisión de la literatura, fue posible identificar estudiantes universitarios que consumen psicofármacos, ya sea de enfermería, fisioterapia, psicología, medicina y farmacia. El uso es más frecuente entre los estudiantes que se encuentran en la primera fase, en la mitad y al final del curso y entre los fármacos utilizados son metilfenidato, diazepam, clonazepam y bromazepam. Fue posible la identificación de las razones que llevan a los estudiantes a utilizar estos productos farmacéuticos, por las que los estudiantes utilizan psicofármacos: en las primeras etapas de la carrera - dificultades con el traslado a una nueva ciudad, el inicio de la universidad y el aumento de sus responsabilidades, en la mitad de la carrera - las dificultades están relacionadas con el hecho de tener más contacto con los pacientes y la muerte, lo que les hace más responsables, al final de la carrera - tener más responsabilidades en la profesión que han elegido seguir.
Conclusión: la información encontrada través de la revisión de la literatura es relevante y ayuda como advertencia para los profesionales e instituciones de salud y educativas, para prestar más atención y ofrecer una adecuada orientación a los estudiantes de estas áreas de la salud.
