Abstract

And you more.It had been almost forty years since I last heard this argument so frequently. This "and you more" was a phrase widely used by inexperienced boys in life who, as some famous writer might say, had an entire world to discover. That annoying phrase with which they could shake off some unfounded accusations, intending to irritate and also to test the dialectical agility of their classmates; with the simple way of directing the gaze elsewhere or blaming the accuser for the same sin that he was attributing to us. They could reach the point of repeating it hundreds of times: “… you more... No, you... No, you even more…” until –finally– it came to blows. Those were different times, more violent than the current ones. But of course, those tender little heads could not be asked for much more. Neither dialectically speaking, nor socially speaking.
