Abstract

Technology has transformed the way we care for cardiovascular health. Today, many patients with pacemakers, defibrillators or rhythm recorders can be monitored from their own homes thanks to remote cardiac monitoring, a system that transmits information directly to healthcare teams without the need to attend hospital. For older, frail individuals or those with chronic diseases, this advance represents a profound change in their quality of life.
