Abstract

The significance of professional secrecy and its application in the field of nursing determines, from a professional/user perspective, the focus of this article. Furthermore, from an ethical and moral standpoint, we must assess confidentiality as one of the most critical elements in our daily nursing practice. We can define professional secrecy as the obligation to safeguard all medical and personal information of the patient, whether disclosed by the patient or acquired through their care process.
