Abstract

From the healthcare system, there is growing interest in incorporating community orientation into professional practice, particularly in the fields of primary care and public health.
To achieve this, it is first necessary to shape a concept that is often abstract and poorly defined, such as community health.
This article compiles references on key ideas to consider as a starting point for practically defining a uniform focus and direction.
Additionally, it introduces a previously described model that allows for the definition and organization of the role of professionals at different levels.
