Abstract

Good practice guidelines applicable to childhood and adolescence provide recommendations for the daily work of paediatric nurses across the different settings and issues that may arise, such as asthma or breastfeeding. Moreover, they help prevent conditions that may have potential short- and long-term effects, such as sudden infant death syndrome or obesity, while promoting healthy development during adolescence. They also highlight the need for inter- and multidisciplinary collaboration and the applicability of different tools to achieve optimal outcomes.
